Exploring Jamestown Settlement

Even though we didn’t think we wanted to go to the “old people town” (and complained about it A LOT), we ended up having a great time exploring Jamestown Settlement and learning so much! Thanks for the fun history lesson Mom & Dad! We promise never to complain again!

Ben had the best time running in and out of all of the Indian’s huts and feeling all of the animal skins and finding their homemade weapons!

Checking out how they made canoes by burning and hollowing out trees was pretty awesome too!

Can you believe they made all these fun things by hand?

We loved the demonstration of how to use a bow and arrow!

And we got to play some of the games the Indian children used to play! We were actually pretty good at them!

We also got to explore the replicas of the big ships that the English used to come to Virginia on!

The demonstration of the Englishman using his musket was pretty awesome too… and LOUD!

The homes of the English settlers were much more advanced than the Indian’s huts, and they even had a church with a really high pulpit!

We had an awesome time… Thanks Mom & Dad for “making” us come here!
