Birthday fun in NYC!

Grandpa treated us to an awesome room in NYC for the night to celebrate Mommy & Daddy’s birthdays, and so that we could be closer on our trip home to NC in the morning. We all went in together, played in Central Park, explored Columbus circle, went out to dinner and stayed in the cool Empire Hotel in Lincoln Center. Mommy & Daddy even got to go to the rooftop bar with Bridget & Kevin to celebrate her birthday and enjoy the views! Thanks Grandpa for a fun night!

Christmas Pictures with the Cousins!

Considering that we are all 9, 7, 5, 4 and almost 2, we did AWESOME this year with Mommy’s cousins Christmas photo shoot! Of course bribes with M&M’s and a swim in the hot tub helped quite a bit!

We even got to celebrate a late Thanksgiving with our cousins!

Every night in November, while we were getting ready for Thanksgiving, we took turns adding our blessings to our thankful tree! It was full by the time we got to the big day!

Road trip to Nannies!

We took off for our Thanksgiving adventure to Nannies, and it was certainly an adventure!

Daddy’s always wanted to go on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, so we thought it would be fun to try it out (even though Mommy’s not crazy about bridges OR tunnels, and it was about 20 minutes worth…)

IMG_4929

There were beautiful spans on bridges…

IMG_4919

Followed by miles of tunnels…

IMG_4923

More bridges….

IMG_4920

…and more tunnels! It took FOREVER!!!!

IMG_4925

We raced the clock for a last minute change in plan, thinking it would be fun to go on the Cape May Ferry… We made it with 10 minutes to spare, and thought all was good until the driver told us to sit down and hold on because it was going to be a bumpy ride… THAT was an understatement. We all felt sick, and Abby actually puked… A LOT!

Once back on dry, flat, stable land, we decided to drive into Atlantic City for the night to stay at the Tropicana! Our adventure continued BIG TIME when Mommy had a crazy interaction with her medicine and starting seeing things and throwing up… The craziest part is that she didn’t remember ANY of it! (But we keep telling her the crazy story).

We enjoyed the views from our room and exploring the hotel in the morning while Daddy took a work call, and before heading off to Nannie’s house!

We were pretty excited to see the city, which meant our crazy trip was nearing an end and we were almost at Nannie’s house!
