In the early morning hours of August 5th, as mommy was not getting any sleep and up watching the clock (as well as getting up for a few last frequent bathroom trips), I had NO idea what was about to happen later that morning… But I will tell you, what happened was AMAZING!

Mommy and daddy arrived at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning (which was no big deal for mommy since she was up all night)…
Daddy snapped a few pictures of mommy one last time with me still happily floating around in the only home I’d ever known… UNTIL…
… all of a sudden, at 9:01am, I saw a very bright light, and felt her doctors hands lift me out of mommy’s tummy into an amazingly bright, loud & cold place! Mommy had been telling me this was going to happen, but I don’t think I was prepared for it! It was pretty shocking, and the most amazing sounds came out of MY lungs! I was crying so much, I even hurt my OWN ears! As shocking as it was, I will say that I was VERY happy to finally be able to stretch my legs out; and I got all those people back for bothering me… As a true boy, I just peed all over them!
I weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce (which is actually much smaller than everyone was expecting), and measured a lanky 20 inches tall!
Mommy and daddy were SO happy to finally meet me, that I brought tears to their eyes! They told me they loved me so much, and that I’ve made our family complete!
Meanwhile back home, my sisters were getting ready to come to the hospital, and Emily was missing mommy…
Later that day, mommy & daddy got this little brother ready to meet his VERY excited big sisters! Honestly, I’m not sure if they are my sisters or just two more little mommies, but it was quite an exciting moment when they saw me!
I even got to meet my Mor-Mor, Nannie, AND Grandpa that very same day! There were a lot of people waiting for me to arrive!
Day 2: In the hospital, I did a lot of sleeping, eating, pooping, and posing for pictures!
Day 3: Today was a special day, because I got to meet my Aunt Bridget & Uncle Kevin! They were so excited to meet me as well, and I can’t wait for them to have a little cousin for me to play with in just 5 short months! We’re going to be best buddies!
Later that night, the hospital served mommy & daddy a special “Celebration Dinner” of stuffed chicken breasts, filet mingon, lobster tails, cheesecake & chocolate lava cake! It was a special “date” for them, although I just wanted to make sure they knew I was still there, so I serenaded them with my sweet cry for a bit before settling down and just keeping an eye on those lovebirds from my crib…
Day 4: Our last full day in the hospital was filled with more visitors, and my sisters getting more and more practice flopping me back and forth between them! They are so loving, that for now, I put up with the constant touching, poking, folding, pulling, and bending of my body, but I’m not sure how long that will last before I have to speak up…
Our family is ready to go home, and get used to life as a family of FIVE!
