My 1st meal

Today, daddy fed me my very first meal of cereal! I was SO ready for it, since mommy has been practicing with me with a spoon and water. I've also been watching everyone eat at the big table & it's about time they let me join them! I loved my cereal, but I'm ready to move on to some more interesting things...

I can sit all by myself!

I just learned how to sit up all by myself, and I almost never fall already! Ok, so maybe you caught my ONE fall on camera!

I can't wait to go hiking!

Aunt Bridget bought daddy this cool new hiking backpack... I can see EVERYTHING from up here! I can't wait to get out in the woods! (Cody can't either)!

Rockin' all day long!

This is my new rocking chair I got from GG... It matches the colors in my room, and I can tell it's going to be my favorite place to sit. I'm just learning to sit now, and I can already hang on and keep myself up!

I DEFINATELY love swimming now...

Once I was introduced to my float in our neighbor, Butch's pool (I call him "Pop-Pop"), I realized I really do love swimming with my dad!

Cody's pet peek

Mommy & daddy bought Cody her very own "pet peek", so she can see all the other dogs in the neighborhood walking by the fence. She's a little scared of it right now, but it's right at my level, so I think it's great!

My favorite pasttime... other than jumping!

I LOVE to read books... Well, maybe I like sucking on them more right now, but someday I will really enjoy the story too!

Where do you come up with these ideas mom? I did actually have a good time... who knew sitting in a basket and playing with a plastic flower could be so much fun?!?!?

I can walk...backwards!

I got a cool new walker today, but when my daddy put me in it, my feet wouldn't touch the ground (I guess it's just in the genes...). So, he did some measuring and figured out how to get it lower for me. As soon as my feet touched the ground, I took off walking... backwards!

4th of July

We went out to the Hamptons to celebrate the 4th of July. It rained that night, so I didn't get to see any fireworks, but I got to spend time with my Nannie, Grandpa, and Aunt Bridget!

Washington D.C. Trip

On the weekend before the fourth of July, my mommy, daddy, Cody and I all took a last-minute road trip to Washington D.C.. Daddy was the only one of us that had been there before, so he showed us all of the sites as we walked "the mall" on a beautiful day. The buildings were SO big & beautiful!

We also had a great time hanging out at the hotel, swimming, eating out at restaurants, and trying to capture a picture of the whole family (that took almost a whole afternoon)! I had a great time on my first real vacation!

I might just like this swimming thing after all!

We went swimming in the pool at the hotel in Columbia, Maryland, and I think I'm beginning to like it! I was even kicking my feet & putting my face in the water (that was an accident though, and I didn't like that as much)!
