Back to School!

This summer has FLOWN by, and the first day of school is finally here! I’ve been nervous about my first day of KINDERGARTEN, but I know I’m going to have an awesome year of making friends and learning a lot of new things! I’m SO excited that I get to go to school with Abby & ride the bus together! It’s also pretty cool that Mommy & Daddy get to come with me on my first day! Check out all the fun we’ve had!

I can’t WAIT to learn how to read!

It’s hard to believe it, but Abigail is officially a SECOND grader!

And she’s pretty excited about it too!

These sisters couldn’t be happier to be heading to school together this year!

Ben will be so happy to have Mommy to himself during the days, but he will REALLY miss his sisters!

The night before school we packed up our lunches… I was so excited!

…and Abby had to pack up her summer book report! She’s going to busy in second grade this year!

Daddy stayed home today so he could see me get on the bus and come by my classroom too! Abby is getting so good taking pictures with Mommy’s camera!

Our friends were waiting at the bus stop for us!

Abby was so excited to see that Miss Rebecca is our bus driver again this year!

One last hug, and off we go!

 

Mommy said she didn’t cry at all as the bus left, but I think it’s because she was following us in her car!

Mommy came to my class first, and got to see our morning routine! Each day my teacher writes a note for us about our day:

We learned our classroom rules…

We learned songs about the months of the year and the days of the week…

We even learned how to tally our days and count down until next summer!

My teacher read us a funny story…

Then we got to do arts & crafts with our moms and dads!

 

When Daddy came to see me, we did a classroom scavenger hunt together!

When he left, I was a happy camper, playing with new friends & ready to go to my very first school lunch!

Meanwhile, back home…. Ben was having a BLAST with Mommy going to the library and the park! He’s going to have an AWESOME year alone with her!

It was a long wait for Mommy back home, but we finally arrived!

Together again! It was a GREAT first day for everyone! We can’t wait to see everything we are going to do and learn this year!
