The weather was shaping up to be a beautiful day, although the Weather Channel app was off by about 12 degrees… It was actually 100 degrees that afternoon!!!!
Cousin Steve took his job very seriously, as he had to watch to make sure Uncle Ryan went no where NEAR room 409 that morning…
Uncle Ryan had sent a beautiful bouquet of roses to his bride-to-be while she was getting ready…
All of the little details of the day were amazing…
Kristie’s brother, Rudy, had these shoes made especially for her wedding day, but somehow, they got lost in the shuffle, and she ended up wearing her Tom’s down the aisle… At least her feet didn’t hurt!!!
She surprised all of her bridesmaids and flower girl with beautiful jewelry to wear and satin robes to get ready in!
Mor-Mor showed up with gifts for the girls too, and an awesome emergency basket filled with everything you could possibly think of needing that day!
Kristie’s cousin Anna made special cookies for the day too, and delivered them to the suite!
A hair stylist and make up artist came to the room to take care of all the girls & the bride before the big day!
Mommy & Aunt Jenn got their hair done too!
Kristie’s mom is also a hair dresser and was kind enough to squeeze in two braids for Megan and Abigail… They loved them!
Kristie was busy doing last minute things, but Mommy said she was the most relaxed bride she’s ever seen!
Aunt Kristie wanted super long hair for her wedding, so she had hair extensions, but the flower girl did NOT like them…
With all the focus on the bride, is anyone wondering what Uncle Ryan was busy doing???? He was at the reception hall, busy setting up all the special details of the day with his groomsmen, of course!!!
Kristie’s brother built an awesome photo booth, and she spent so much time herself doing all the amazing typography on it (and all the other wedding print materials too)!… We had a great time there during the reception!
Their guestbook was so cool… You had to write your name and a message on a scroll to put in that cool bottle, just like Kristie made for Ryan one Valentine’s Day!
They had the most awesome candy table for the reception too!
Who knew Uncle Ryan was so creative?????
Meanwhile, outside in the 90 degree morning heat, the girls were busy setting up the ceremony site, while Mor-Mor was busy running all the last minute errands for everyone (and there were A LOT of them)!…
Uncle Ryan even came out to check our work!!!!!
Back in the air conditioned hotel, the photographer was arriving, and Mommy’s job got a little bit easier… But that didn’t stop her from taking about 1,000 more pictures!!!! She even took pictures of the photographer taking pictures!
Kristie was also busy ordering Wendy’s for lunch! They forgot about that little detail until Mommy reminded her she needed to eat something!
It was time to reveal Aunt Kristie’s beautiful dress to everyone…
Amidst the chaos of getting ready, Emily ran up to show everyone she pulled out ANOTHER tooth! (She had just lost the first one 3 days before!)
Downstairs a level in Uncle Ryan’s room, Mommy was busy helping him figure out his tips for the day…
Good thing she was there to help… he was a bit overwhelmed at that point in the day, but who could blame him?!?!?!
And he was busy giving out his special gifts too…
But first, there was a small order of business to attend too… He and Ben had to do their Batman and Robin pictures!
I did such an awesome job that I got a present!!! Thanks Uncle Ryan!
Now it was time for getting dressed and some real pictures…
Mor-Mor was so proud of Uncle Ryan, and a few tears were shed throughout the day…
All the guys wore red socks… The Blackhawks are Ryan & Kristie’s favorite hockey team!
Mommy said I was the most handsome ring bearer she’d ever seen! I would have to agree, but I haven’t seen any before…
The boutonnières arrived!
It was Aunt Jenn’s job to put Ryan’s on, but something tells me she wasn’t so sure how to do it…
He looked pretty handsome though!
Time for some awkward photos in the parking lot… The photographer was, well… Interesting…
This was one of the only times Mommy got to see Daddy that day (or weekend)… It was CRAZY busy!
The biggest surprise of the day was when a horse and carriage arrived to take Aunt Kristy and her dad to the ceremony! Her brother had gotten it as a surprise for her, and Ben and the flower girl were supposed to go too, but they freaked out and said it was “too stinky….” Oh well, Kristie & her Dad went together & Daddy followed in the van!
Daddy stayed back to take pictures and said everyone was surprised and crying!
Remember when Mommy said it was HOT that day???? Here’s the proof from Daddy’s car on the way to the ceremony…
Next stop…. THE WEDDING!!!!!
