We took off for our Thanksgiving adventure to Nannies, and it was certainly an adventure!
Daddy’s always wanted to go on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, so we thought it would be fun to try it out (even though Mommy’s not crazy about bridges OR tunnels, and it was about 20 minutes worth…)
There were beautiful spans on bridges…
Followed by miles of tunnels…
More bridges….
…and more tunnels! It took FOREVER!!!!
We raced the clock for a last minute change in plan, thinking it would be fun to go on the Cape May Ferry… We made it with 10 minutes to spare, and thought all was good until the driver told us to sit down and hold on because it was going to be a bumpy ride… THAT was an understatement. We all felt sick, and Abby actually puked… A LOT!
Once back on dry, flat, stable land, we decided to drive into Atlantic City for the night to stay at the Tropicana! Our adventure continued BIG TIME when Mommy had a crazy interaction with her medicine and starting seeing things and throwing up… The craziest part is that she didn’t remember ANY of it! (But we keep telling her the crazy story).
We enjoyed the views from our room and exploring the hotel in the morning while Daddy took a work call, and before heading off to Nannie’s house!
All of their Christmas decorations were beautiful!
We were pretty excited to see the city, which meant our crazy trip was nearing an end and we were almost at Nannie’s house!
We made it!!!!!!
