Our beach trip with friends: Day 3

We woke up to a beautiful morning and got ready for the busy day ahead of us! We had some more crabbing to do, kayaking to the sandbar, riding the waves at the beach, and even watching the dolphins swim in the bay!

73

Miss Sara took us out to the sandbar at low tide and we got to go by kayak!

74

Lexie and Ben waited patiently for trip two…

76

77

We loved “walking on the water”!

78

83

Mom took the kayak out for a spin and went back to get us … we all had fun taking our turn paddling!

79

80

84

We even managed to all get back together…without tipping over!

85

After our morning adventures, we had lunch and waited for Mollie to wake up from her nap…

As soon as she woke up, we were off to the beach to play in the waves and try boogie boarding!

86

87

The waves were CRAZY and it was hard just to stand up! It was good balancing practice for Ben!

Mollie did awesome taking care of herself!

96

Ben and Lexie were super brave trying to ride the waves!

Emily tried her hand at it but holding your nose and riding the board sideways didn’t work so well…

114

Miss Sara helped Emily learn to Boogie board, but her first run didn’t go so great…

107

After she pulled Emily out from the water, Emily lost her goggles and Miss Sara lost her sunglasses to the waves… That caused QUITE a bit of drama for a while…

108

109

She got back on and kept trying though!

125

127

Miss Sara and Mom tried to ride a few waves too, but Mom didn’t do so well…

111

112

Abby was definitely persistent with the waves, and became the best rider of the day!

We had some quiet movie time after the beach and all loved snuggling up together!

150

And Mollie got her sink bath to get rid of all that sand!

Uncle Paul came back over so we could see the crabs he caught in his trap!

152

154 155

We got NINE beautiful blue crab!

153

We even found some big hermit crabs and conch shells!

We had some pretty brave crab holders!

Not everyone was interested in going near them though…

Uncle Paul took it even further and tried to make a crab earring! Thankfully they weren’t cooperating though!

After playing with the crabs, we watched a storm roll in…

We even saw a beautiful FULL rainbow after the storm!

While we hung out on the dock for the sunset, we got to see a whole pod of dolphins swimming around!
