The Cruisin’ Beach Family: Day 2

When we woke up on Day 2, the first thing we saw outside was miles and miles of ocean, but it was now the prettiest deep blue you’ve ever seen!

Mom loved sitting out on the balcony reading her book… BEFORE the sea sickness and side effects of the patch she wore started kicking in Sad smile

We all headed off to our breakfast buffet, and regular morning ice creams!

Back in our room, we found our first REAL towel animal… a cute little pig!

The top of the ship had a pool, splash park and awesome waterslides, and we had a blast! Good thing we went when we did, because they ended up closing everything on the last day due to high winds and rough seas!

The girls, Nannie, Grandpa and Dad also got to do the awesome but scary ropes course on the ship! Emily was definitely the most confident balancer of the bunch!

After lunch, all the kids went to Camp Carnival to play games with camp leaders while the grown ups enjoyed a few drinks and some games of shuffleboard!

They were having a great time until the camp called to say that Madelyn was crying and missed her mom… They headed over to pick her up and we all bombarded them, begging them to take us too… We HATED Camp Carnival, and even made drawings and notes to let our parents know we didn’t want to go back. Oh well, grown up time is overrated anyway…

“Don’t make us go there again!”

After some camp recovery and rest time, we all got dressed and ready for our formal dinner night!

A quick stop in the casino to see if we could win a little something was fun, but we only lost money Sad smile

We had a wonderful second day on the ship, even though Mom was already getting sick and didn’t get to stay for dinner. She rallied though to see a beautiful sunset and hang out in the piano bar that night with Aunt Bridget, Uncle Kevin and Dad. She had NO idea that we had just been on the calmest part of the trip… Next stop in the morning… the island of Bermuda!
