The Cruisin’ Beach Family: Day 1

We finally made it to our ship, the Carnival Sunshine, and it was bigger than we could have ever imagined! We couldn’t wait to get on board and check it all out!

They had so many fun things to do on the outside top decks of the ship, including pool, Giant Twister, mini golf, and more!

We had to go to an emergency drill at our muster station to learn what to do if there was a problem, and it took FOREVER!!!!! Maddy was good at keeping herself entertained though!

Afterwards, we got to check out our rooms, and we were surprised how well all five of us could comfortably fit in there, even though it wasn’t exactly the BIGGEST room we’ve ever stayed in… It was perfect!

Everyday, they make a special towel animal to leave in the room, but we can’t for the life of us figure out what happened on day one…

This little monster is quite entertaining to watch… and is a big daredevil!!!!

We all had private balconies and we could talk to each other outside!

As the boat left NYC, the Statue of Liberty was seen outside our rooms… It was such a beautiful day!

We also passed under the Verrazano Bridge and we were underway to Bermuda!

We enjoyed our first all you can eat dinner in the restaurant together, and knew then that they were going to have to roll us off the ship when we got back after we were finished eating everything the served us!

Emily’s first night, she ordered Jell-o, chocolate brownies and ice cream for dessert AND went to the ice cream station afterwards with Grandpa!

We were off to a great start and couldn’t wait to see what Day 2 held for us!
