Hawaiian Day at preschool

Now that we're all beginning to feel better, mommy finally had preschool again! We've missed the past 3 weeks, and it has been really cold and snowy, so she decided to throw us a luau to teach us about Hawaii (and pretend she wasn't in New Jersey in February...). We all had a blast!

We decorated the basement together with palm trees (thanks to grandpa's box of decorations), real hawaiian mu-mus (thanks to Mor-Mor), leis, and even had tropical music playing when everyone got here!

Yesterday, mommy & I made a special poster to teach everyone about all the fun stuff to see in Hawaii... there are waterfalls, cool tropical fish, palm tress, luaus, leis, hula dancers, and even volcanos!

Daddy and I built our very own volcano this past weekend, and my friends and I LOVED making it erupt... OVER and OVER and OVER again! We even got to see a movie of a real volcano erupting!

Mommy read us a story called "Mrs. McGee's Coconut", and we got to touch, smell and taste a REAL coconut! Did you know they are REALLY hard, hairy & even have milk in them?!?! Mommy made us a whole hawaiian feast of different fruits to try, and we had to mark on our charts whether we liked them or not. We got to taste bananas, strawberries, pineapple, mango, kiwi, papaya, coconut, grapes, mai tai's, and even macadamia nuts... We all tried EVERYTHING! Our mommies were very proud of us!

It was a great day! Aloha everyone!

Abby enjoyed her last high school homecoming dance with her friends, and it was extra special since it had to double as her senior prom sinc...
