Our awesomely hot photoshoot at the farm!

Our friends family has a beautiful farm house, filled with rolling hills, huge trees, a barn, and even horses! We decided to do our annual back to school photo shoot there this year While it could have been a little cooler (96 degrees is a bit warm), Mommy loved the location, and can’t wait to go back again in the fall! You’ll have to wait until we go back to school next week to see those pictures, but we did a lot more today, and she got some fun shots!

Emily had the best time out of everyone, and LOVES the camera!

Mommy took pictures of our friends too, and they even did great!

Emily is our animal lover, and was mesmerized by the horses! Even though she was a little tentative at first, she warmed right up and they became best friends! We’re going to have to look into riding lessons for this girl!

What another great day in the South!

Solar Eclipse time!

While we were down in Charlotte at Great Wolf Lodge, we got to see the solar eclipse in the 98% zone! Daddy REALLY wanted to see it in totality, and now that we’ve seen close to that, we want to see it too! We got our approved solar glasses, headed to the mall to wait for the big event, and hung out with friends and tons of other people, waiting to see the awesome moon pass in front of the sun. Things started getting darker and cooler outside, and everyone was in awe! (We shared our glasses with A LOT of people too, so everyone got to get a peak)!

We are TOTALLY heading to somewhere in the totality zone for the next eclipse in seven years, on Emily’s 15th birthday! Where will you be next time????

Surprise check on our summer bucket list!

Both our neighbor friends and us had a Great Wolf Lodge trip together on our summer bucket lists and they surprised us with an awesome night away! We didn’t know where we were going, and when we got there, we didn’t know they were joining us! Waterslides are super fun with Mom & Dad, but even better with friends!
