Girls Weekend at the Beach... Sort of...

After getting back from Europe, I had a day to do some laundry, shopping, and packing before leaving for my annual girls trip at the beach with my friends. I wasn't feeling great, but chalked it up to crazy traveling for the past 2 weeks, and the ladies figured I was fine to go, and I would just sleep  a bit more than usual to get over the jet lag...

I got a lot of naps in, since it was rainy, or at least partially rainy, nearly every day... The rain didn't bother me at the house, but we kept getting caught in it on the beach, it got a bit annoying!

I was tired of being rained on, so I just started hanging out under my towel, but we weren't ready to give up on the beach!

We enjoyed our annual crab pot dinner while watching the opening cermony for the Olympics...

As I mentioned, I wasn't feeling well after getting back from our trip, and I only felt worse by the day at the beach, so when I called home and found out Emily wasn't feeling well, I had her test for Covid and she was positive... Even though I'd been negative a few days before, I took another test, and that explained a lot. It was back to bed for me while the ladies headed back to the beach...

We had tickets to go on a sunset boat ride, but I was feeling pretty awful, and since I tested positive, I decided to stay home to get some more sleep, but I'm glad the ladies ended up having a blast!

The night before we left, I was feeling a little better, so I decided to get out for one socially distanced dinner in town...

I even distanced my beach chair and was able to get in one nice weather day on the beach...

We only got one group picture this year, and looking back, I'm not sure why we didn't just take more, since I apparently shared my Covid with BOTH of my friends. So sorry ladies, but I'm glad everyone is better now and we made some fun memories!

Happy birthday Brian!

For Brian's birthday this year, Nannie & Grandpa came for a quick visit and we went out for one of his favorite dinner experiences.....
