Enjoying Mykonos

Sunday morning was lovely, as we didn't have a strict schedule to follow, and we could take our time getting off the boat to stroll along the streets of Mykonos. However, my morning started off a little rocky with a 7am wake up call from guest services saying that I needed to report to the main dining room with my passport to meet with a Greek immigration officer. I couldn't believe the passport saga was still following me, and I got even more worried when I got there to meet with him. He was screaming at another passenger and the cruise staff when I walked in, saying that he wasn't supposed to have been let on the ship with his documentation, and that someone had to answer to this... I called Brian immediately to meet me there with all of the passports and our police report from Rome. When it was our turn, he told me my documentation didn't match up and I should not have been allowed on the boat. When we explained the situation, showed him our report, and answered a lot of questions, he thankfully understood, and we had all of the documents updated in the system. Apparently, I wasn't going to be left in Greece afterall!

It was another extremely warm day, but the coastal town had a light breeze at times that made it so nice to get out and explore. I think I could have stayed there all day, and would love to go back someday and see more! (Heck, I was almost going to be living there, according to the officer on the boat)!

I could have gotten myself happily lost for hours exploring all of the narrow, windy streets filled with beautiful white buildings!

We found so many stray animals (mostly cats and dogs) on this trip, and it had us missing our pups back home...

Leave it up to Ben to find MORE gelato!!!

After some exploring and a lot of shopping, we found the perfect spot for lunch- a little Greek place in the shade, with a beautiful breeze, and a view of the turquoise Aegean Sea!

Our Greek sampler was wonderful!

The chicken kebab came out on its roasting stick for a nice presentation,
and it was as delicious as it looked!

I really wanted to get to the beach for a bit, but since everyone was so tired, I settled on wading in the water for a few minutes before heading back. It is simply stunning there, and I'd love to go back someday!

After a trip to the pool for Brian & I, and getting ready for dinner, we met up with Sarah & Paul at our nightly music trivia event!

We got some good pre-dinner family pictures the last night of our cruise, and I appreciate the kids for dressing up and doing this one more time for me!

Happy birthday Brian!

For Brian's birthday this year, Nannie & Grandpa came for a quick visit and we went out for one of his favorite dinner experiences.....
