Summer Business Trips with Dad

Brian has been traveling a bit again, and he had 2 trips to NYC planned this month, so he thought it would be fun to bring the kids along! The first trip was a guys trip with Ben & then he went back 2 weeks later with the girls. Everyone had a blast, and I enjoyed my time home with the kids that didn't go...

Walking through the airport, the train station, and the streets of NYC is no joke! Ben took a quick snooze at Starbucks and his coffee picked him up again for an evening of fun...

Brian got tickets to Blue Man Group, and they had a blast!

A quick call from the hotel room to say goodnight...

The next morning, Brian and Ben walked over to Club Wyndham to meet up with Nannie & Grandpa so they could spend the day with Ben while Brian went to work.

He had a great afternoon with them and then they all met up again together for dinner. Thanks Nannie & Grandpa for helping out!

Ben got a taste of Dad's travel days which included the subway, an AirTrain, an airplane and an Uber... It was an exhausting and quick trip, but the boys had so much fun!

Round 2: This time with the girls!

Emily is always the jokester...

They've arrived!

They were off to Little Italy for dinner...

They had a beautiful day for a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge...

After a rest and drop off at the hotel for Emily, Brian, and Abby headed back out to see the city at night!

Subway rides are better with amazing Boba tea...

Brian had to head to his conference early the next morning, so the girls had their own adventure getting from their hotel to the Harry Potter Experience. There, they met up with Nannie & Grandpa, who had come in again to spend the day with them. I was so thankful they were there for the day, and I watched the girls like a hawk on Find My Friends until they met up!

They had a fun walk together and found a crazy city out there with some interesting street signs!

I was relieved to see they made their way safely & were ready for a fun day!

They bought tickets to the Harry Potter Experience, which was an interactive event where they could see things from the movie sets & try their hand at some things from the popular novels. (Clearly we didn't purchase their pictures, but the girls stepped up and took a lot for me)!

Abby made the call to the Ministry of Magic in the phone booth...

To sign in for the event, they had ONE job- to look at the camera and smile... Nannie & Grandpa had a bit of difficulty figuring out their first task...

He finally got himself in the frame... this time, he just forgot the smile part!

Nannie was centered, but forgot to look...

Whew... The girls showed them how to be cool and get it done...

Their names appeared on the Marauder's Map...

It all begins in the cupboard under the stairs...

There were many original costumes from the set of the movies...

The Great Hall looked magnificent...

They tried their hands at potions practice...

Everything was large in Hagrid's Hut... Not sure if Grandpa knew where he was, but he enjoyed a "tea party" with Emily...

Next, they were off to check out the Quidditch outfits, the Golden Snitch, and try their hand at the game...

 Dolores Umbridge's office looked awesome!

There were so many outfits and memorabilia from the movies to check out!

The experience was full of fun memories for the girls and hopefully Nannie & Grandpa too!

Thanks again to them for coming in again to spend the day with the kids...

It was an epic adventure with lots of memories spent with Dad too!
