We had a great time celebrating Abby's 15th birthday! She chose her birthday dinner of chicken enchiladas and a cake from our favorite bakery- Yellow cake with lemon buttercream and a raspberry mousse filling... It was heavenly!
On the weekend, we had a party with the neighbors, and Abby chose a repeat theme this year- Sushi! It was much more grown-up than her last sushi party, and we actually made some decent rolls this time!
I did buy some rolls just in case our own didn't turn out, but everyone was pretty happy with their experience!
It was nice to have our friend, Chef Matt at the party to give us a few tips too...
Leave it to Mr. Nick to make a sushi burrito...
We had some fun with sushi photo props...
Everyone was very generous with their gifts, and Abby's favorite was the long-awaited "crap bag" from our neighbor Taylor... she fills it with stuff she makes and finds from around her house. You never know what you're going to get!!!!
Mom made some sushi desserts to have with our cupcakes...
Abby had to go to bed early since her first day of Driver's Ed was the next morning, but Mr. Nick closed out the party as always...
