We celebrated Christmas Eve again this year with a fun time of exchanging gifts with each other! We always love this day, and everyone always wants to give the first gift! Before opening our gifts, we took some time to rememer what Christmas is TRULY about, so we read “Santa’s Favorite Story”, which is a story about that very first Christmas night when baby Jesus was born.
Ben got to open the first present from Emily and loved his big Indonimus Rex toy. There’s been a lot of roaring around here the last few days…
The girls picked out special gifts for everyone from their school’s holiday gift shop and their excitement for giving them was contagious!
Mommy loved her “#1 Dad” back scratcher…
Of course we got a few fun moments on video again this year!
Ben loves Mommy’s iPad, so we thought he’d like his own Kindle Fire, but he’s taking some time to warm up to it…
Mor-Mor sent some pretty awesome light up gloves!
Abby got one of Ben’s favorite gifts of the year… the Joker Laugh Factory and his Bane suit (whatever that is…)
Legos were a big hit with the girls this year!
The biggest hit of a kid gift with the grown-ups was the game “Perplexus”. It’s an awesome maze game in a ball that is very addicting. Daddy’s the only one who has made it all the way to the end, but we’ll keep trying!
Aunt Jenna sent the girls new blankets and Mor-Mor sent one to Mommy so they were all warm and snuggly!
Emily’s favorite gift was her vibrating pillow from Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Hawk… It was all she wanted!
Abby was excited about some of her practical gifts too…
Everyone loved their new Shutterfly placemats from Mommy…
Ben’s BatBot from Mor-Mor and Grandpa Dave was a big hit!
Daddy loved his calendar full of funny kid-quotes again!
Thank you to Grandpa Hawk and Grandma Nancy for the iTunes gift cards! The girls are so excited to spend thier own money!
We got the funniest book that Daddy had to read to us…
Daddy was so excited to give everyone their Nerf guns!
Mommy got a few nice gifts from Mor-Mor too!
We made awesome cards for Mommy & Daddy…
Before heading to bed, Abby read us “Twas the Night Before Christmas”…
We put out cookies and milk for Santa, and few carrots for Rudolph, and some cheese for Santa Mouse!
Emily even left him a nice note!
We headed straight to bed and waited for the big man to arrive…
