Happy 8th Birthday to Abigail… In a HOTEL!!!!

I had the most awesome birthday party this year! We were supposed to meet our family in NYC for the day, but since it was WAY too cold, we met up at a hotel instead! We all went swimming, ordered pizza, played games, watched a movie & slept over! It was awesome!

Daddy bought me my own special journal since I love writing descriptive essays these days… and I can write my name in script!

When Liam arrived, we were a little worried that he wasn’t going to have a good time…

 

But Ben had enough of a good time for all of us! He couldn’t wait to go in the pool!

 

Nannie thought she might be cold, so she wore her winter coat over her bathing suit, and made her way down to the pool in her slippers!

We all just wore our bathing suits…

Liam still wasn’t sure he wanted to participate, but he made his way there with baby steps…

One step forward, a few steps back…

He eventually made it in the pool and loved it! Thank goodness!

Grandpa only wanted to hang out in the hot tub, so we joined him for a bit.

Ben LOVES the water!

Back in the room, we opened some presents while we waited for our pizza to arrive!

Mom forgot to bring matches, and wasn’t sure if we could use them in the hotel, so I just pretended to blow out my candles! Mom made awesome Minecraft cupcakes, full of grass, dirt & rocks!

After dinner, we played “Heads Up”, which I LOVE playing these days!

 

Emily liked posing for pictures, because she could see the picture in Mom’s camera lens, and she always guessed them right!

Everyone enjoyed a movie night before bed!

A mix of swimming, a late night, and some sick germs on the way, meant for a good nights sleep for everyone!

Liam had a blast at breakfast, since we let him play with his maple syrup… It’s not our kitchen, right!??!?
