Apple picking!

Today was a super warm fall day, and our cousin Liam and Aunt Bridget came for a visit, so we decided to go apple picking together!

 

We got to go on a hay ride!

This picture makes it looks like the boys actually liked each other! Isn’t photography a wonderful thing?!?!?

Liam and Aunt Bridget enjoyed their first trip apple picking together!

Liam was proud of himself, but he wouldn’t give up his rocks to pick any more…

Ben did a great job on his first picking trip too!

Everyone loved getting the apples from the top of the tree!

After our apple picking adventure, we headed over to Lincoln Park Day & enjoyed walking around to check out the vendors, go in some awesome inflatables, and even check out the fire trucks!

Of course, Emily asked a MILLION questions, but the fireman was very patient with her, and answered all of them!

We even got to practice using the fire hose!

 

When we got home, the fun continued in our own bouncy house!

It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt…

Luckily, we all got back up and kept on jumping!

What an awesome way to start our fall days of fun!

Growing up…

Maybe it’s because I moved to a big boy bed last month, or that I just turned “free” years old, or maybe even because I started school this week, but Mommy is THRILLED that I have FINALLY decided it was time to try using the big boy potty! I haven’t worn a diaper ALL morning, I haven’t had a single accident, AND I’ve gone on the potty EIGHT times! It’s like a party in our house every half an hour! Mommy gets all excited, claps her hands, gives me hugs and kisses, and then I GET CHOCOLATE CHIPS!!!!! Mommy is really hoping I keep on going with it!

Mommy says the key to potty training is to stay at home, wear no pants, put the potty in the dining room so I can watch “Thomas” and “Dinosaur Train”, and then drink A LOT of water!

…and of course get A LOT of praise and rewards!

I’m a big boy now!
