Nannie & Grandpa went on a cruise again this summer and we got to go stay at their house for a week! We hung out as a family, spent time with Aunt Bridget, Uncle Kevin & Liam, went to the beach, did some shopping, and enjoyed our last full week of summer together before the school year starts! Thank you Nannie & Grandpa for letting us stay at your home again!

We went back to the town of Greenport again this year with Bridget and Liam, ate a seafood lunch by the ocean, rode the carousel & had ice cream! We love this tradition!
Nannie has the coolest stuff to play with at her house! All we wanted was a straw for our smoothies, and look what we found!
Daddy made us a campfire one night, and we hung out, made smores and told scary stories!
The smores were delicious….
… but the stories were a bit too scary!
Abby, Emily & Daddy even slept in the tent outside that night in the backyard!
The boys felt a little left out, watching the big kids camping out…
… but Ben found a new best buddy!
Grandpa’s bar was a favorite spot of the week! Daddy even taught us how to make Shirley Temple’s!
Liam loved playing pool too!
Liam had a bit of a rough week… he’s not used to having lots of kids in his face all the time. He was trying to find the best way to deal with it, but ended up in time out with most of the things he tried…
Ben had a few of those moments too…
After quite a bit of crankiness, we realized Liam had an ear infection, so his mommy took him to the doctor to get some antibiotics… we were glad that worked!
While he was at the doctor, we found an awesome place to go and play… we call it “Nannie’s Kidnetics”! They had a few rides, a huge play structure, lots of bouncy houses, tons of slides, and arcade games!
Ben wasn’t feeling himself either, so he threw quite a fit when we made him stop eating his snack and go back to play
He came around though when he went down the slide with mommy!
He loved picking out the “CAAARRRR” treat with all the tickets he won!
Later that night we decided to get dressed up, take some pictures & go have dinner on the beach!
Pictures did not go great this year… No one wanted their picture taken, and Mommy couldn’t get a single one where everyone was looking and smiling (it’s getting harder on her each year…)
We just wanted to be goofy…
Mommy was disappointed this picture didn’t come out because the beach was beautiful that night! There’s always next time…
Liam didn’t like the “back of the truck” pictures this year…
Ben and Emily have become best friends these days, and Ben gets so excited about everything… trucks, rocks, birds, water…
… especially airplanes and “copters”!
Abby couldn’t wait to try out Grandpa’s boogie board in the ocean!
We went easy this time and grabbed a pizza to have on the beach… it was a hit!
Everyone had a blast this year!

Emily didn’t have as much fun as the rest of us, but we’re getting pretty good at ignoring her when she gets like that…

Nothing is cooler than driving Grandpa’s truck onto the beach…
Uncle Kevin even got to drive his new Jeep out onto the beach this year!

The next morning, the boys loved helping Mommy out at the grocery store!
When Nannie & Grandpa got back home, we had so much fun riding bikes & on the quad with them!
There’s ALWAYS one of Emily like this…
They even made us a yummy lobster dinner one night! It was awesome!
Liam was OBSESSED with his week-old boo-boo on his knee! It was his first scrape, and he showed it to everyone who would look at it… EVERY 5 MINUTES! It’s even become one of his recognizable body parts, and he milks all the attention he can get from it! He’s pretty darn cute though!
