I'm getting so big!

I'm getting REALLY close to a big milestone here... Mommy caught me on video today sitting up for the first time for 10 whole seconds before folding myself in half! I'm going to have the hang of this in no time, and pretty soon, I'll be able to do it on my own, without mommy snapping wildly above my head!

My weekend ALONE with mommy & daddy

I got mommy & daddy ALL to myself this weekend! They went on an overnight trip to celebrate their 5th anniversary, and I got to go with them, while Abby stayed home with Nannie! It was so much fun going shopping, out to eat, wine tasting, and especially seeing the Deleware River from a REALLY high look-out tower! I didn't love being in my carseat so much, but other than that, I had a blast! Thanks for a special trip mommy & daddy!

My new haircut

Today was a big day for me... I got my first real haircut "style"! I don't know WHY mommy & daddy thought I needed my hair cut... my hair is CRAZY lately!



I did a great job keeping my head down, but it took a lot of concentration, because they had put "The Little Mermaid" on for me to watch!

I was really good at sitting still, and I actually had a really good time!

Mommy ALMOST cried when she looked down and saw my curls, but she held it together. In the car, when she told me she was sad to see my curls gone, I told her, "It's just my hair mommy"!

Apple Picking

Today was a BEAUTIFUL fall day at our house, so we decided to go apple picking together. I've never been before, and I have to say... I was really good at it! I picked every apple we put in our bag, and I even dragged the bag up and down the orchard by myself. The apples were HUGE, and they were really tasty too!

After picking our apples, there was a little petting farm, and I got to feed the goats and the donkey! They were really smart too... they came running as soon as they heard my quarters going in the food machine!

When we got home, mommy and I made a delicious apple pie! I love to bake with her, and she even says I'm a little bit helpful!

I had a GREAT day! Thanks mom & dad!

Nighttime pledge

Since I've had some problems with keeping my diaper on during napptime, mommy instituted the nighttime pledge at our house that I have to recite before nap & bedtime every night. I'm getting really good at it, and I haven't had anymore problems! I even get to wear the fun jammies I want to each night, and not the horrible kind that snap so I can't get them off! Pretty soon, I'm even going to get to wear my Dora underwear too, if I ever figure out this potty training thing!

My 1st day of "pre" preschool!

Today I went to my very first day of "pre" pre-school as mommy calls it. She, along with 3 other of my friends' mommies, decided to get together and teach us all cool stuff once a week. I had SO much fun, and can't wait to see what learning I get to do next week!

When I got to my friends' house, we were checking out what each other had in their backpacks. We each had to bring crayons, scissors, and a glue stick (my FAVORITE part):



My friend Abby's mommy taught us our first lesson, and we started by getting our very own name cards that we got to put stickers on!:



I was pretty good at singing "Head, shoulders, knees and toes"!:

The letter of the day today was "A"... there are SO many things that start with "A", but the coolest one is "Abby"!:

We are going to add a letter bead every week to our necklaces, when we learn a new letter!:

We had to use our glue sticks to make a picture of different things that start with "A". I LOVE gluing!:

We also talked about circles, and got to make our very own drums decorated with circle stickers!:

Then we read a book all about drumming during storytime, and got to play our drums!:

Finally, my favorite part was snacktime, when we made "a"nts-on-a-log & had "a"pples!:

I had an awesome time at school, and can't wait to show daddy everything I learned! I wonder what I'm going to learn next week!?!?!?!

1st time with a sippy cup!

Mommy says I'm growing up, and am going to start eating REAL food pretty soon, so I have to start practicing drinking water from a sippy cup... just like my big sister does! She must be REALLY talented, because it's not as easy as it looks! Mommy says I'll get the hang of it soon though!

Sesame Place!

This weekend, for Grandparents Day, we took Nannie & Grandpa, Aunt Bridget & Uncle Kevin with our family on a two-day trip to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania. It was the BEST time I've ever had! I rode on scary rides, went on water slides, had breakfast with Elmo & his friends, and even got to stay in a hotel! There were so many pictures, that mommy & I put together a slide show, but first, here are a few of my favorites... enjoy!
