Fall fun in the hood!

This fall, we had a great time hanging outside with friends! Our trick or treating group was pretty small this year due to the cold, rainy day, but the die hards stuck in there!

The pumpkins this year were a bit odd looking, and Abby tried shaving hers down first, but ended up just rolling with it!

Some of the paint didn't make it on the pumpkins, but everyone had a blast!

The girls took a trip to the dollar store on Halloween afternoon and came up with a last minute costume! I love that these girls are such great friends, and they made a great Van Gogh and "Starry Starry Night" duo!

Hanging with neighbors... again!

We're still loving our time hanging out with neighbors, and it's even more fun when it gets less hot outside & we can actually enjoy the weather!

We've enjoyed several high school football games together, and the little ones even tried some cheerleading!

We've made a lot of meals together, and even tried our hands at horrible funnel cakes...

 We won't be trying that one again...

We've done this together before, but we had more kids who wanted holes in their heads, so we headed off to get some more piercings!

These puppies are a big part of the neighborhood too! Everyone loves them!

Subbing for the kids in the neighborhood is always fun!

More home improvement projects going on with Brian's help...

We found a new local hangout place... the bar at the grocery store, where we can enjoy a drink, some games & watch the guys shop & try to plan dinner!

Back to Subbing!

I'm back to the world of subbing again this school year, and started it off with 2 days in first grade in our sweet neighbor's classroom! She left me an awesome motivational note on my teachers desk on the first morning, we had a great time reading stories, making Creepy Carrot crafts, learning new math techniques, playing at recess together & even celebrating in their school fundraiser fun run together! I'm looking forward to a fun year in all these classrooms!

Brian's World Travels

Brian has begun traveling a lot again recently for work, and his latest travels found him in Venice, Milan, Leon & Barcelona! I wish I could have tagged along again this time, but he was sweet to send pictures home of his journey, and I'm glad he had a great time!

As much as the sites were beautiful, Brian always loves his authentic food adventures!
