This year's girl's weekend wasn't really threatened by a hurricane (although there was one we had our eye on), but making sure there were no Covid exposures, and setting the dad's up to do all the back to school events while we were gone made for another crazy year! As always though, we had a wonderful time together, and filled our time with sleeping in, sharing stories, laughing lots & making memories!
We made a stop on our way to the beach at our favorite restaurant, Provisions, and when we were done, we found out I had a flat tire... Kelli made a great effort at fixing it, we called AAA, and were ultimately found by a bunch of random people who stopped to help & ultimately fixed the tire and plugged the hole! It was a rocky start to the trip, but we made it!
As soon as we were unpacked, we poured a drink and headed right to the bay for some lily pad floating!
This year, we saw, crabs, eels, sea turtles, jelly fish and dolphins in the bay!
There was an awesome lightning storm we watched in the clouds across the bay one night!
The trip wouldn't be complete without another trip from AAA... this time for Maddie's dead car battery! It's a wonder we made it there and back safely at all! Thanks Dad for my AAA membership!
