Some of our cousins and our Uncle Aaron had never been to NYC, and since it’s Aunt Jenna’s favorite place to go, we bundled up for a fun day of sightseeing together. We took the bus in together, and did A LOT of walking, but we had SO much fun!
Megan found the Cake Boss store right away… it’s one of her favorites!
The city was cold and bustling!
Alayna is just like her Mom… She was in awe of the big city!
Those lovebirds…
Julia LOVES pigeons, so Mommy took a few pictures for her…
We went to Ellen’s Stardust Diner for lunch, which is called “The Best Free Show on Broadway”, and it was… even in the basement “V.I.P” section!
We took a stroll over to Rockefeller Center to see the big tree and the ice rink…
We walked past Radio City Music Hall…
… and looked at all of the awesome Christmas window displays at Saks, Bergdorf's, and Tiffany’s!
Can you guess why Uncle Aaron looked so happy??????
… That’s right… only the Apple Cube in NYC could bring that much joy!
FAO Swartz was a hit… especially the gigantic candy section!
We stopped at Trump tower to ride the glass escalators…
It was going well until Julia got a little nervous & wouldn’t go down, holding up the line… Good thing Alayna did some quick thinking and ran up to get her!
Thanks Alayna!
Everyone was proud of Julia for getting on!
One last stop at Grand Central Station before heading back to the bus…
These kids were exhausted… (the grown-ups were too!)
… Somehow the big open space to themselves brought on one last burst of energy though!
… well, almost everybody…
The station is celebrating it’s 100th year, and it’s so beautiful!
It wouldn’t be a complete trip to the city without one more Apple store stop for Uncle Aaron!
What an exhausting but fantastic day! We can’t wait to do it again… in the summer!
