Emily’s preschool Easter party

I had my very special Easter party at preschool today, and Mommy got to  come see my concert! We came in waving our palm branches, shouting “Hosanna!”, and then we sang a few songs about Easter and Spring! We even did my favorite bunny poem that I’ve been practicing at home! After our concert, we had a special snack of fruit and Easter cookies, and then we got to make a special craft with our moms! I was so proud of my bunny bag, that I I wanted to show it off to everyone! Happy Easter everyone!

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

We hope you enjoyed your day of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day as much as we did! Up the Irish!

Emily learned all about St Patrick in preschool and brought a lesson home to share with us!

As always, we started our morning with a good ‘ole bowl of Lucky Charms!!! This is always Emily’s favorite part of the day!

Ben loved checking out the flowers that we bought for Daddy…

Abby helped mommy make green velvet cupcakes for dessert!

 

Daddy had a few Guinness’s to celebrate, and washed out the bottles for us to celebrate with some water too!

Ben didn’t love the hat…

… but he loved his Guinness water!

Mommy made our traditional dinner of Guinness stew and Irish soda bread… We even got green milk!

We loved our cupcakes and minty shamrock shakes too!

Up the Irish!!!!

There was quite a bit of artwork we made to decorate with this year! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We’re busy learning here!

Every since we got our big dry erase board, and the basement has been transformed into a school house, we have been so busy learning down there! Will you come play school with us?????

Mommy and Daddy have been working with Abby on telling time, and she’s getting pretty good at it now!

We’re working on shapes and colors with Emily, and Abby’s working on her “phonetic” spelling!

Abby LOVES doing math word problems! She could do these all day!

Daddy was even doing some advanced problems with her, and she didn’t have any trouble with them!

Abby loves transcribing things from books so she can be the teacher sometimes too!

Emily wrote her name all by herself for the very first time on the board… when no one was watching!

Daddy’s been doing quite a bit of learning around here too… in fact he just received his Master’s degree diploma in the mail last week! Congratulations Daddy!

Emily has also been VERY busy at preschool this year… Her teachers, Mrs. Driesse & Mrs. Justness are very proud of her too!

My turn…

I don’t know what it is about us Beach kids and cutting our own hair right AFTER we had just gotten it professionally done, but it was my turn to take the plunge… Abby did this when she was my age, but she was silly enough to cut her BANGS so Mommy noticed it right away… I at least got away with it for several hours before anyone noticed because I went for the “blended in” approach. I still hid the hair in the basement and lied to Mommy and Daddy about it, so I got in a bit of trouble, but I think I’ve learned my lesson and won’t do it anymore… it wasn’t really that fun anyway!

One more down, 18 to go…

I’ve had a little more self-control this time after finding out I had ANOTHER loose tooth! I wanted to yank it right out like I did last time, but Mommy & Daddy convinced me to let it fall out on it’s own. I took their advice for two weeks, and then couldn’t wait any more, so out it came! The tooth fairy came AGAIN, and I can’t wait to lose another one!
