Christmas Photoshoot #2: In our Christmas Jammies!

This photoshoot went WAY better than the one earlier this week with our cousin Liam! We got to wear our Christmas Jammies, eat chocolate, listen to Christmas music, and decorate the tree!

Abby LOVES reading all the Christmas books to us this year!

We were SO excited to unwrap all of our ornaments and get them on the tree!

A boy can never have too many Thomas ornaments…

And who doesn’t love donuts?!?!?

Abby still gets giddy over the first ornament that Drew ever gave her Smile

We have a lot of favorite ornaments, but our Shutterfly ones are at the top of the list! Thanks Mommy!

Abby loves to take pictures now, and wanted to take one of Mommy to prove that she helped decorate the tree!

Merry Christmas everyone, and happy decorating!

Christmas Photo Shoot Fail…. Again

Once again this year, our crazy Mom and Aunt Bridget thought they would try and get a group Christmas picture of us. She was SO excited to try out her new lens that Daddy gave her for Christmas! Mommy decorated for days, they took so much time coordinating outfits, spent an hour showering us all after school, blow drying hair, getting everyone dressed, and figuring out how to bribe us to smile for just ONE picture. Check out the product of all their labor!

It might be more helpful to go back to the beginning so we can explain a few things… While everyone was getting dressed, Ben fell down all the stairs and ended up with a big rug burn on his forehead, and walked around for the first 20 minutes with an ice pack on his face…

IMG_1713

Mommy thought we could cover up Ben’s bump with his cute Santa hat, but he only wanted to wear his winter hat for the pictures…

IMG_1728

Liam was delirious and uncooperative, but when we realized it was because he was sick with a 102 degree fever, we understood why!

IMG_1714

When Liam DID try to stand and smile for a picture, he just looked like a hitchhiker…

IMG_1716

Mommy thought marking the floor might help the boys know where to stand, but evidently, telling them to stand on the “x” just made things worse…

IMG_1810

So, she thought we would try some props in hopes that having something to HOLD might help…

IMG_1768

I don’t know what she was thinking…

When that didn’t work, she tried a different prop, but Ben’s definitely outgrown this one. We can’t wait for Bridget’s new baby next Christmas so we can really use the basket again…

IMG_1886

IMG_1878

This one wouldn’t have been so terrible if Liam was actually our kid…

So we got rid of the props, but that certainly didn’t help…

Poor Liam wasn’t feeling well, but he did try, as long as we kept stuffing chocolate chips in his mouth… Sad smile

It was a pretty miserable day, and Mommy said she wanted to run away, but like Mor-Mor always says, “The day is never over if it makes a memory”, and we sure made some more of those!

Mommy says we have to try again… We just think she’s crazy!
