Happy birthday Brian!

For Brian's birthday this year, Nannie & Grandpa came for a quick visit and we went out for one of his favorite dinner experiences... hot pot! We all had fun cooking our food and celebrating the birthday boy!

I'm not sure it was Grandpa's favorite meal, but we give him credit for trying!

We got a chance to celebrate with friends too! Happy birthday Brian!

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween, our group went as the Pink Ladies and the T-Birds, and we had a fun night hanging out, even though our kids have started going their own way... Abby had her first night of work, Emily went to a friend's Halloween party, and Ben took off with a group of friends for trick or treating. It's nice to know we have people we can hang with with the kids disappear. 😢

We attempted dog costumes, but they weren't having it, so they just went out with us as dogs... 🤷

There are a couple kids left to canvas the neighborhood...

We found some brussel sprouts in someones' candy dish!

Emily went to a friends' party and won best costume for her homemade Lara Croft outfit! She is super creative and did an awesome job!

What a fun night!!!

NC Renaissance Festival Weekend

We had an awesome weekend at the NC Renaissance Festival! We enjoyed a road trip to Charlotte for an overnight adventure, complete with a day at the Faire, a fun escape room, a night out in Charlotte and a hotel stay downtown. 

There was so much to see and do at the faire!

"Friend Emily" was part of the Beach family this weekend!

Renaissance Faire food is awesome... Turkey legs and meat on a stick were a hit!

We enjoyed walking through the aviary, and Emily was the brave one who wanted to hold the parrot!

We went through a maze, while searching for gold coins, and left by slide!

We had so much fun watching the jester make fun of people in the "vegetable justice" stand!

It was a bit toasty outside, but we watched the jousting competition for a bit...

After the hot jousting tournament, we had to cool off with some ice cream sandwiches and rootbeer floats!

After an awesome day at the fair, we continued the fun with a night in downtown Charlotte, and in an awesome "Big Bang" themed escape room! What a fun adventure for all of us!

NC State Fair Day!

The girls went to the NC State Fair this year with their own friend groups and had a blast... Unfortunately, only one decided to take pictures, so we'll live vicariously through her! Looks like they had a blast!
