Happy Halloween!

The day for trick-or-treating is finally here! We’ve only been waiting for this for TWO whole months, when we first got our costumes! I decided I wanted to be Princess Jasmine, and mommy thought Emily would make a good pet tiger, Rajah! Even Nannie came and dressed up as Aladdin! The best part was when daddy pulled us around on our wagon which he transformed into a magic carpet ride for us!

Emily LOVED walking the neighborhood to get candy, and she doesn’t even eat it yet!

We even when to our neighbor Pop-Pop’s house to show him our cool costumes!

Mommy also made a special Halloween lunch of pumpkin chili, cornbread and pumpkin pie! I made lots of the decorations, and we had a pumpkin party!

We even had two special guests: Nannie & Bridget! Thanks for coming to our celebration!

 

Trick-or-treat!

Pumpkin Carving

It is pumpkin carving day at our house today! Mommy got us all set up in the backyard, and after scooping out all the seeds, daddy carved a beautiful pumpkin for us, and Emily & I got to paint our own! Have we said before that we LOVE fall time!?!?!?!

What would pumpkin painting be if we didn’t get to paint ourselves a bit too?

Emily did NOT like painting…. I don’t know what’s wrong with that kid sometimes…

With a tear streaked face, she finally came around a little bit & painted one stroke on her pumpkin before wanting to get down.

I picked out a haunted house pattern for daddy to make us this year…

… and as usual, he did a great job!

Making a scarecrow

This weekend, we helped daddy make a real scarecrow to help scare away all the birds that have been eating our lawn! He had daddy’s pants, mommy’s jacket, lots of leaves, and my painted pumpkin for his head! We had a blast, but mommy still gets scared everytime she looks outside and sees the man on our lawn!

Playing in the leaves

We went out today to spend a little time outside in the leaves. It is a beautiful fall day, and I wanted to introduce Emily to all the fun we could have together in the leaves… I think she liked it too!

We decided to try on our new winter hats that mommy finally knitted for us…

Emily didn’t like hers too much…

I taught her how to throw the leaves up in the air…

… and she LOVED it!

Emily had a BLAST, and made quite a scene when mommy said it was time to go inside. I told her we can do it again tomorrow…
