I have been working and planning for months on putting on a backyard carnival for our friends and neighbors! I made invitations, made the games out of recycling boxes, bought some prizes with my chore money and handmade others, set up, fed everyone and put on an awesome event (even though it was supposed to rain so we had it in the basement)!

I made “STAFF” capes so everyone would know who to ask if they needed help!
I made a ticket booth out of a neighbors big box in the recycling bin, and everyone loved it!
We served popcorn, drinks and snowcones!
I made this ring toss game out of a box, some pencils and tape & even painted it!
This game was supposed to be with goldfish bowls, ping pong bowls and minnows, but mom decided the minnows would be better left in the pond…
The snow cones were a big hit!
We had a fishing game for the little kids…
Mollie even came to watch the carnival games!
These were our corn hole cheerleaders!
We set up a target game to get the ball in the inner tube…
Even the grown ups like this one!
The ring toss game was definitely the favorite though!
Hopscotch is an oldie but goodie too!
I made a cool spinning wheel to get extra prizes!
We had a big box of homemade and some dollar store prizes! Everyone LOVED them! There were paper airplanes, fortune tellers, painted bookmarks, crazy straws, glow sticks and bubbles!
Only the staff could give out the prizes though!
Check out our homemade chefs’ hat that Liam won!
People even came up with their own games!
We ended the carnival with some wagon “roller coaster rides”!
It wasn’t a hit for everyone, but overall, the day was a huge success!
