This morning, we woke up to the boat actually sailing! We had a 6 hour cruise starting at 6am to make the journey from Passau to Linz. We also passed through several series of locks that were neat to be able to experience.

After getting through the second set of locks, we headed to our room to take advantage of our panoramic views from our sliding door that opened our whole room as a balcony! We had some coffee and laid in bed as we watched the river towns go by. It was so relaxing, and we're hoping we'll get to experience even more of it on our next river cruise someday!

After docking in the town of Linz, we decided to skip the group tour and see the town on our own for the afternoon. It was another quaint town with cobblestone streets, churches, locals wearing their lederhosen and more beautiful views!
After finding a place for a light lunch, we headed out to see some more of the town's architecture.
We walked by the historic Landhaus building that was built in the 1500s and now serves as the headquarters for Upper Austria's parliament.
The views from the terrace of Linz Castle were beautiful, looking down over the town on the Danube.
We had to check out a church, since there are SO many, and this one was the Ursuline Church of St. Michael. As usual, it was breathtaking inside!
After roaming around for several hours and getting happily lost in the streets of Linz, we headed back to the ship for some relaxing in the sun while we enjoyed one more sail that evening, followed by happy hour, dinner, and an overnight sail to our next city on the tour.
