One way or another, this snow is going to melt… even if WE have to melt it!!!!

My kindergarten evaluation!
Today was the day for me to have my Kindergarten evaluation! Mommy’s been a little nervous about it since I do things on my own time, and she was afraid I might not cooperate, but I told her not to worry. When she asked me how it went, my answer was a bit different than my sisters, who told her every detail of the morning, and that “the teachers were so impressed, that they didn’t even know what to say!” I told Mommy: “I got to have a snack!” Yup… that just about sums it up!
-Emily
Mommy didn’t realize it until she came home and looked at the pictures, but Abigail and I wore the same dress and coat for our evaluations (but I have MUCH cooler shoes)! If you want to read Abby’s post to get an idea of what questions they asked me, here it is: http://blog.beachfamily.us/2012/03/kindergarten-registration.html

Babysitting for Liam…
Aunt Bridget had to go to work today while Uncle Kevin was out of town, so they decided to come for a visit and Mommy said she would watch Liam for the day. It wasn’t looking too promising when he woke up at 6am and couldn’t find his Mommy, but our Mommy gave him some cuddles and Daddy saved the day by putting on Yo Gabba Gabba & getting Dunkin Donuts for breakfast before heading off to work! It’s AMAZING how Yo Gabba Gabba and an iPad can make this kid happy! Thankfully, it was the last tear of the day (hopefully), and he’s had a BLAST today!
He didn’t even cry when Mommy took away the iPad, turned off Yo Gabba Gabba and said they had to read some books and play together! Emily had fun practicing her new photography skills!
Ben even ran over to say “CHEESE” for the camera… he almost made it in the shot, too!
Emily insisted on playing some dress up, and Liam actually enjoyed it… a little!
What beautiful princesses they were!
Ben wanted nothing to do with the dresses, but tried on the Chef’s outfit and made us some pizza…
… he wasn’t too happy about it though.
Next, Emily was the teacher, and played school with the boys. They were pretty good students!
A little time for building towers…
… playing with the crane…
…pushing the babies around in the strollers…
…playing dollhouse…
…setting up a store and playing with the cash register…
…and riding Emily around like a horse!
Liam entertained us with his impressions…
Home Alone:
Mick Jagger:
Zombies:
…And his “sleeping” while standing up impression:
There were a lot of cuddles, hugs & kisses with Emily (but NO biting!)…
Mommy was having a great time doing all of these things with them until she looked at the clock and saw it was only 8:48 AM! So, she decided they were going to HAVE to get out of the house! Everyone got dressed and Mommy tried to take them to the park for a few minutes, but everything was still covered in snow, so they went to the library, where they enjoyed reading books, coloring, playing with the toys & watching their tiny turtles swim!
It was a pretty fun and full morning, and Mommy must have done something right, because after lunch, both boys went down for naps without a fuss, and were asleep within TWO minutes! Mommy even got a chance to blog about our morning! Hopefully the afternoon is just as fun! One can always hope, right?!?!?
Natural History Museum trip
We took a trip into the city on Saturday to the American Museum of Natural History and had SO much fun! Ben LOVED all the dinosaurs, and we even got to meet up with our little cousin Bradley! We can’t wait to go back and do the “Night at the Museum” scavenger hunt next time!
Abigail, Emily & Mommy loved watching the movie about how animals are classified, and we even learned that birds are today’s “modern dinosaurs” since they come from the same line!
Abigail tried teaching us all the facts she learned from the movie… Mommy thinks she might be a real teacher some day!
There was even stuff there that Mommy found interesting!
The museum got a lot more fun when Bradley showed up!
There was a lot of love going around…
… and quite a bit of “ring-around-the-rosie” in the ancient hall of Chinese artifacts!
We were pretty exhausted by the end… but we can’t wait to go back!
Emily's Junior Prom
Emily looked stunning and had a blast at her junior prom this year with her fun group of friends! Where has all the time gone!?!?!?!?
