“Great Wool Flodge”

We just went on THE BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER!!!! Mommy and daddy took us for two nights and three days to the Great Wolf Lodge (although Abby insists it’s called the “Great Wool Flodge”…)! It is an awesome “woodsy” themed hotel and indoor waterpark in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. We went swimming, on waterslides, played cool games in the hotel, went to the arcade, ate TONS of sugary snacks and took A LOT of naps! Mommy even got to sneak away one night for a massage! It was awesome, and although we can barely lift our heads off of our pillows today, we can’t wait to go back! Check out all the fun we had!

- Abby, Emily & Ben

The decorations in the hotel were all wolves, bears, log cabins, and other woodsy critters…

We weren’t even in our hotel room 5 minutes before we were all dressed and ready to head down to the waterpark… Unfortunately, mommy made us pose for a few pictures first, and Ben was the only one that was happy about it… as usual! That boy NEVER stops smiling!

And we were off! I don’t know who was more excited… the kids or the daddy!

This is a map of what the waterpark looked like! It was SO awesome!

Emily had NO trouble jumping right in!

We took a ride down their lazy river…

… and Emily spent most of the time towing Abby around the pool… That’s what little sisters are for, isn’t it????

Ben LOVED the water too… but I think he might love mommy more!

Emily couldn’t wait to get to the slides!

There was a whole kid section that we could go down the slides all by ourselves, and we went on every single one of them!

Can you believe even MOMMY went down the big slides with us!

The big family slide was a TON of fun, but Emily got a bit too much water in the face…  She was VERY brave!

When we weren’t in the pool, we got to go on a very cool “Story Explorers” adventure! In order to help the wolf in the story find his “howl”, we had to follow a map and find clues set up all throughout the hotel which we could activate with our special bracelet, and we would listen to a little story or watch a short cartoon that would lead us to the next spot. It took us the whole time we were there to finish it, but when we did, we got a cool book with our very own pictures in it showing our whole adventure!

Apparently, Emily figured out how to howl…

As if we hadn’t had enough fun already, we also got to spend an afternoon in the arcade too! We LOVED playing all the games, getting tickets, and picking out candy and toys as prizes! Even Ben enjoyed it!

It wouldn’t be a vacation without a ton of vacation cereal to choose from, would it?!?!?!

… and a few cupcakes for a late night snack never hurt anyone either!

Our room was really cool, since we had our own “Kid Kamp” inside of it, which was our very own room with bunk beds!

Abby kept on going and going from morning until night (which made daddy very happy), and Emily and Ben were so exhausted, that they kept wanting to nap (which made mommy very bored)…

Thanks again mommy & daddy for an AWESOME time! We had a blast, and can’t wait to do it again sometime! We’ll leave everyone with one last picture of our happy little man!

I’ve almost got this!

I’ve been practicing everyday, and I’m getting better and better! Pretty soon I’ll be able to do it without the pillow!

Check this out!

Someone loves their food!

I had my 7 month check up at the doctor yesterday, and they say I’m a little peanut! I only weighed 15 pounds, which drops me to the 3-5% for my weight, so the doctor said it’s time for me to start stuffing my face with as much food as I want! Mommy isn’t too worried, since my whole family is pretty small, but she’s going to feed me TONS of food anyway! This is GREAT news, because I LOVE eating! My sisters are pretty excited too, because they LOVE feeding me! Get ready to see some chubby cheeks soon!

Spring is here!

We’re not sure how long it’s going to last, but it was almost 70 degrees here today, so we spent most of the day outside! We climbed trees, ran around in the driveway, played in the dirt, and had fun hanging out with mommy! We can’t WAIT for warm weather like this every day!

Kindergarten Registration!

IMG_1230

I had my Kindergarten screening and registration this morning for the fall, and I LOVED my new school! I had never been inside before, and I thought it was SO cool! We saw tons of kids learning in their classrooms, having their lunches and going out to the playground for recess. I can’t WAIT for September to come! I told mommy and daddy all about my screening, and they were so impressed! Here’s what I told them that I remember:

- There were 3 neat teachers that I got to meet with, and they all had fun things for me to do at their stations.

- I had to draw a circle, write my name, say my ABC’s, and see if I could recognize a bunch of objects and say their names correctly when they spun a wheel and it landed on different things (I only remember telling them there was a zebra, but there were a lot more than that…)

- I had to jump, skip, hop & jump up to catch a bean bag when they threw it to me.

- I was AWESOME at rhyming (they should have know that I know harder rhyming words than “cat” and “hat”)!

- I had to count out blocks for them, and name all the colors (blue, red and yellow… this was SERIOUSLY easy)!

- I had to make a tower of blocks in certain shapes for them and do patterns of squares, circles & triangles… I told mommy that some of the other kids had a hard time with this one, but not me!

- They asked me what I would do if I broke a toy that belonged to someone else, and I told them straight away that I would say I was sorry… They seemed to like that answer!

- The only question that I though was kind of hard, was to show them where my wrist was… I’m not quite sure why I got that one wrong… I must have just been tired after showing off all my skills!

When mommy heard about all of the things I knew, she said that I did a great job and that they must have thought I was so smart. I simply told her: “ They didn’t say ‘You’re so smart’ because they were just so impressed with me that they couldn’t even say it! They just said, ‘Good job’, or ‘Good girl’!” I had a blast with the whole day, and can’t WAIT to start at my new school!

Emily's Junior Prom

Emily looked stunning and had a blast at her junior prom this year with her fun group of friends! Where has all the time gone!?!?!?!?
