So, we finally got a “big” snowstorm here and the whole ground was almost covered! Winters are a bit different here, and we’ve never seen anyone get so excited about a dusting of snow, but the kids down here love it! We were even able to scrounge up just enough snow to make a snowman! It may not have been the biggest we’ve ever made, but it certainly took the most work!

So Mom decided to try photographing a one year old’s birthday party for a friend and neighbor, and she even set up a “studio session” for her cake smash! They all had so much fun, and Mom got in some more great practice!
We all went to her birthday party too, and had so much friend celebrating with friends and neighbors!

So apparently, February in North Carolina doesn’t have snow and winter coats, but shorts, sunglasses and bike rides! We took advantage of this super warm day and headed to the American Tobacco Trail for a family ride! Mom & Emily loved their new bikes they got for Christmas, and Ben did awesome on the bike attached to Daddy’s! We’ll definitely be coming back here again!
I got an awesome monthly subscription for my birthday from Mom and Dad. It’s called Raddish, and every month a box arrives with 3 recipes, a new cooking tool, shopping lists, a craft, and a patch for my new apron. Today my friend came over and we made the January box which was Chinese dumplings and a Beef and Broccoli stir-fry… we did almost all of it completely on our own, and it turned out amazing! We can’t wait to cook from our February box!

We had a very special Valentine’s Day this year with our Mor-Mor, since Mom & Dad were on a trip to Vegas together! She stayed with us for 5 days, and she made it so special for us from decorating for a special breakfast, giving us some fun goodies, making cookies for us and for our neighbors, and our favorite… Jell-o blocks!
She went to Emily’s class to read a special Valentine’s book to them, and went to Ben’s Valentine program at school too! She was one busy Mor-Mor!
We even got to spend some of the 80 degree day in February with friends!
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Mom & Dad were having a blast in Vegas together!
They stayed at the Palazzo, and had some beautiful views from their room…
They had so much fun at a couple of shows too!
Dad even got Mom a few special Valentine’s Day treats…
They also had many wonderful meals, and a special Valentine’s Day dinner!
We saved one last Valentine surprise for when they came home… Happy Valentine’s Day!
